Card Overlays

Our first range of Card Overlays and Card packs are nearly ready to be uploaded to our website.... and we are excited as we spent a few nights over the weekend creating these... We couldn't believe how easy they were and how each of us interpreted the overlay design differently.

New Product Ranges coming...

We have started uploading our CARD & OVERLAY ranges. We have introduced this range to offer Card Makers a big range of Laser Cut Overlays and then the matching card sheets.

(Click on the image and see what's available so far!)

There will be 4 sets in each series release and in time there will be sets for DL folded cards, A5 folded cards and also 6" square folded cards.

The range of Overlays will grow into some beautiful options and of course they will all be in Bazzill.... but wait there's more.....

Shortly, we will be offering every colour of Bazzill, including Bling in nearly every imaginable sized sheet you could want...
including A4, 8 1/2 x 11, card sizes, overlay sizes etc...

Back again...

Well hello everyone - I'm terribly sorry about the lack of posts but its been an incredibly tumultuous time here...

Firstly, it was getting a bit overwhelming at the Barn with our staff shortages... I missed Rach from the moment she left to go overseas for her trip which had been planned before she agreed to start working with me. I became a little unwell the next weekend as did my other good friend Lyn. Her horse also became unwell.... (no connection by the way!!) Then the next week Lyns' horse became even sicker with another problem and sadly had to be put down. That night I dreamt all night about this poor horse and what I witnessed while it was so distressed as well as poor Lyn as she loves her horses as if they are her children... as a result I slept in the next morning and as I rushed to the shower (as I wanted to get to Lyn's to help console her) I missed one of the two steps in my kitchen and came tumbling down. The end result was I laid there for some time (noone was home) until an ambulance came.... taken to hospital and treated rather ordinarily and sent home in great pain...the following morning I was taken to another hospital where they helped me to no end... and allowed me to return home with equipment and sufficient pain killers to allow me to function to some degree.

When I returned home later that day I received a phone call from a very dear friend who I've met through my business and was devastated to hear her husband had passed away the night before in farm accident.... This beautiful lady has 7 children - 6 of which are all school aged with the youngest being five. Her relationship with her husband was a beautiful one, their love for eachother was obvious through her scrapbooking and how she spoke of him, which just makes this so much more unbearable for her.

So Rach returned from China on the Monday (I was devastated my pain stopped me from meeting her at the airport with Lyn) and on Wednesday she drove me to the funeral - some two hours away.

The night before the funeral we put out a call to as many Friends of Remember When we could get email addresses for and asked whether they'd like to put a fund together so we could buy some essentials and some not so essentials for Deb and her family. Knowing the person Deb is she will be surrounded by wonderful people for sometime and we thought just having some of these groceries on hand may take a little pressure off... you wouldn't believe the response - the next day we spent $600 on groceries and there is more to come.... We couldn't fit more in the car!

Thankfully Jude met us in Traralgon to help us load it all in the car as I wasn't able to lift much at all....

So while its been an incredibly hard few weeks its' just so encouraging to know there are so many wonderful people out there willing to be there for others - most of these ladies had not met Deb in real life.... it truly is a wonderful world (most of the time)...

Nature's wonder..

After such a sad beginning to our week with the passing of Shadow, we have been surprised to now have 3 new members of our family - even if it is only temporary (anyone need one??)...
We have 3 baby bunnies - their mother Snuggles is a beautiful grey & white lop eared rabbit and their father (the brother of Shadow) is a gorgeous black standard eared rabbit... Snuggles gave birth to a black one, a grey one and a white one!!

Don't forget the animals!

We had a sad day today - one of our (3) rabbits died after succumbing to what appeared to be initially a bad cold... I was holding him at the time and felt his little heart stop. It was very sad but very comforting also because I was holding him at the time and also he was very uncomfortable and we think in pain. He had been receiving antibiotic injections since Saturday but I think we left it too late to take him to the vet.... of course Soph took it the hardest as it was one of her rabbits that she received for her birthday last October but after burying him at her Nana's place up the road when Dad got home she had lots of questions about heaven etc plus one question - do we have a photo of Shadow?? You know what - I was very embarassed & disappointed to have to say No... It would have been wonderful for Soph to be able to look back at a page at some stage and remember Shadow but I just didn't think of it as we have so many pets here... so my point is Don't forget to take photos of your animals - because we don't know how long we have them and after they've gone it's too late.... I have learnt my lesson and will take lots of photos of our pets from now on especially when they are interacting with the family. We have 2 other rabbits, Midnight (Shadows' brother) and Snuggles, along with two guinea pigs, Sidney and Cocoa... we also have a character of a cat called Romeo (you can't help but do the whole Shakespeare line when calling him LOL) and just recently Soph was given a Pony called Marbles, which is looked after by a close friend on her property who is also teaching her to ride... (most little girls' dream come true!).

On another note the same close friend who is teaching Soph to ride has had a tough week last week when she was forced to take her beautiful Border Collie to the RSPCA in Burwood (VIC). She passed her RSPCA rehousing tests with flying colours has been given 28 days to be rehoused before that other horrible option, so any help you can give in finding her a home would be sincerely appreciated... You can see her listed on the RSPCA site HERE.. Her name is Delta and is the 7th dog down (well today she is that far down the page)... Please help if you can..

Happy Easter???

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter break - I sure did. I spent 4 glorious days at the beach with my family (well most of them)... it was beautiful weather and no phone or internet connection. I had lovely walks on the beach, built the Lost City of Atlantis in the sand, looked for shells, took lots of photos of Soph doing handstands on the beach, taught Soph and Jackson how to blow eggs, had fun with our Easter Egg hunt on the pathway to the beach, slept in alot and did alot of work! Work you say??? Yes I did work because it was a great chance for me to do some things that I've just been not able to get to - such as adding this to our website store... Yes I spent MANY hours late into the nights uploading EVERY colour of Bazzill into the new A5 sized category! So card makers - enjoy.... At this stage we are still limited in the colour range for A4 size but we can do ANY of the hundreds of colours in A5...

Another thing I have done is made a decision NOT to increase the price of 12" Bazzill which I had hinted might be the case a few months ago. But I have, as a result of this decision removed the discount structure from all Bazzill colours to compensate for this... Though if people wish to buy in packs of 50 I will certainly be able to offer a discount there.... just let me know. :)

On other news - we have received shipment of the 10 NEW BLING colours and they are gorgeous.... I will add those this week... They are lovely and dark and will finish off the Trio sets into FOUR mono sets... 40 colours in all now!

I received a sample of the Smoothies and it is not as light as I expected... I will continue to research this and let you know what is decided asap...
